common questions

I offer 60-minute sessions. If a client feels that more time is needed to process a multitude of issues during one session, a 90-minute session can be arranged with prior notice.

In order to build a trusting therapeutic relationship and maintain the momentum of your emotional journey, it is recommended that therapeutic sessions are scheduled no less than two weeks apart. You may prefer to see me weekly at the beginning. Once you’ve achieved your goals, you might like to see me on a monthly basis, to gently let go of the help you needed.
The frequency and length of therapy are always dependent on your wishes.

Generally speaking, yes, absolutely. There are exceptions which relate to safeguarding minors and vulnerable adults and to your own safety. Those exceptions are discussed at the beginning of our first session.

Please send an enquiry via the contact form, email or WhatsApp message. Let me know your name, contact details and a date and time when I can call you to arrange our first session.

My fee is £45.00 per 60-minute session for individual therapy and £60.00 for couples/relationship therapy.
My individual therapy fee is flexible, depending on the client’s circumstances and our individual agreement.

Only you can answer this question after you have spoken to a therapist.
I offer a free, 30-minute consultation, by phone or video call, to discuss what is making you consider therapy and whether the type of therapy I offer is the right one for you. I also answer any questions you may have for me as a prospective therapist. This consultation allows you to decide whether you feel comfortable enough with me for us to start working together or whether you would prefer to approach another therapist, or even whether therapy is the right path for you right now.

This varies immensely but is always dependent on your needs. Some clients engage in long-term therapy, slowly processing layers of trauma. Some clients come with a very specific problem, resolve it, and leave therapy after just a few sessions. Some clients ask for 2 or 3 sessions on an ‘as needed’ basis, maybe every few months.

I see clients at my private practice in Porthtowan. Fern Cottage, Rose Hill, Porthtowan, Truro, Cornwall, TR4 8AR.

I also use the therapy room at the Pegasus Project in Wilson Way, Pool, Cornwall. If a client cannot get to either of those locations I offer video link sessions.
